Damn, can't find a video on the 2015, or 2014 for that matter. Anyone have a link to a video for pad replacement on the LR4?

See a lot of older videos but nothing new. Want to tackle this job this afternoon.

Thanks. And sorry, guessing it's buried somewhere.

I've searched, too. All I ever found were videos on LR3 brakes and they'd always mention that it's the same as LR4. I'm referring to the guy who does his brakes barefoot, and then the one by Atlantic British where Doug also explains the process for adjusting the parking brake.

If there is one out there on the LR4, I would like to see it also.

@cperez . Thanks. I guess I'll just wing it. The warning light has not went off yet, so I didn't buy a new sensor. Hope I don't regret that move.

Anyone else have any info b4 I tackle this, please chime in.

Thanks

Search if there are brake job videos for 2010-2013 Range Rover Sport HSE - same exact brakes as the LR4, front and rear. If you are tackling the front, here is one:

All I can say is that if you didn't buy a new sensor, be very careful removing it. They get brittle with all of the heating cycles and get packed up in baked on brake dust. Clean it up a little first and take your time removing. It's just plastic. The rest of the job is pretty straight forward in my opinion and very similar to an LR3. I've had both and performed my brake jobs. I don't recall anything too special.

thanks. Great info. I'll use the air nozzle to loosen things up a bit b4 pulling the sensor. Worst case it I have to run down to the dealership about 5 miles away.

Job looks really easy. I've postponed it to Saturday, so update then.

Cheers

Don't fret with the brake sensor. If you break it then simply cut the end off and join the circuit. You can get a replacement and install in the next few weeks or...never. lol. Same with the hood sensor that is bound to go kaput.

Umberto,

this is a pretty good one. Very nicely done video. It's a RRS but I guess it's the same.

Thanks

Closing the loop on this. the pads only change on this vehicle was a snap. After being cautious on the first wheel, it took me about 10 minutes a wheel there after. Note: I was able to save the wear sensors and I have 1/2 impact and a floor jack so there's no messing around. It's fast and easy.
