2013 LR4 HSE LUX 51,000 miles.
*Lower control arm bushings replaced twice ( both times under warranty at 23,000 and 45,000 miles)
*Water pump replaced - never failed but there was a TSB for it so did it before problems would start.
* battery ×3 ( warranty)
*rear locker solenoid replaced due to chirping noise when turning the truck off
( warranty)
* Engine mounts just recently ( had lots of vibration ) $$ on me
* front right air strut ( never got any AES codes or warnings but it was leaking when in off road mode. $$ on me
Keep in mind that I have a full set of tactical rover skid plates ( probably over 300lb) and 5 compomotive wheels with
BFG 265/65/18 . ( Our LR4 is also a daily driver, family trip car and is taken off road regularly on both easy and difficult trails in Arizona)
Still love it and want to keep it long term.

I was curious...
https://www.zeroto60times.com/vehicle-make/land-rover-0-60-mph-times/

LAND ROVER LR4 0 TO 60 MPH AND QUARTER MILE TIMES
2010 Land Rover LR4 0-60 mph 6.4 | Quarter mile 14.8
2014 Land Rover LR4 0-60 mph 6.8

2008 Land Rover Discovery TDV6 HSE Diesel 0-60 mph 12.6
2010 Land Rover Discovery 3.0 SDV6 XS 0-60 mph 9.5
2016 Land Rover Discovery SDV6 Landmark 0-60 mph 8.7

Land Rover's website has the New Discovery Diesel at 8.1 and the gas at 7.1 to 60.

I was just referring to my impression after driving a D5 diesel loaner for a day. It just felt sluggish, especially when attempting to pass at highway speeds.

I hear ya! I was just curious because I drove an 81' Mercedes S-Class turbo diesel in HS that my parents had from new. It's amazing how fast the diesels are now. Car had close to 300K miles (and looked great) before it got T-***** back in '06, they don't build them like they used to! Sluggish=80's diesel;)

2010 LR4 HSE LUX with 170,000 and enjoying every mile.

John, how many of those 170K have you driven? Any out of the ordinary repairs you have had to do? Have you been driving around the world or? That's over 20K miles a year!

2012 LR4 just about to roll over into the 74k and will need the routine maintenance service.
New to me since 71k. Changed lower control arms before taking ownership. Alignment issues are starting to prevail.

2010 LR4 HSE here, recently passed 130k and adding 2k a month. The transmission was replaced under warranty around 45k, and the rear differential around 50k. Aside from these, it looks new and run strong. I will most likely replace it as my primary means of transportation soon, but will keep it as my fun car.

2011 HSE with 92k. I bought it at around 72k.

Replaced control arms.
Rear door actuator
New Rotors/pads
Just got some Goodyear duratracs

Its been throwing suspension faults but hoping its sensors not compressor. Compressor seems strong still. Trying to get a hold of a gap tool to figure that one out.

Also going to need a fan clutch sooner rather than later. I've got the occasional banging noise coming from the engine on cold starts. I don't think ill ever get used to that noise.

All in all. I've loved this truck ever since. Every time I travel for a while it feels damn good to get home and be able to drive this thing. Tough to maintain but its worth it to me. Especially when you can fix the problems yourself. Makes the truck even more worthwhile.

I am buying tomorrow a 2010 HSE with 82k miles.

A week ago when I first went to purchase it, from a reputable local indy mechanic that only works on European cars, I found it to have the chain tensioner issue. They had not heard it and felt terrible as they had helped a local customer by buying the LR4 from them because the dealer was offering too little on a trade in.

They promptly offered to fix it to keep the deal. Upon further inspection they found a front caliper sized and did a full breaks job in the front, rotors in the back. I had them also replace the water pump.

During the test drive, a long one, all seemed great. I hope to get many many years from this rig. I had the LR3 and LR4 was a no-brainer, I love the design language. I just don't like the new redesign of the Discoveries.

UPDATE. I got the car and it is amazing. It drove like a dream!

Just hit 70k on our HSE LUX, bought it with 64k on the odo.

Things we’ve done:
  1. Transfer case fluid change.
  2. Front suspension crosslink valve replaced (front end would sag overnight).
  3. Oil change.
  4. Front brake pads replaced.
  5. Plastidip wheels matte black.

Favorite vehicle we’ve owned yet.

I have an 2007 LR3. 117,000 miles. This is my "use for anything/everything vehicle.. Smelly fishing/cigar smoking trips, hauling wood, pulling horse trailer, feed, concrete, you name it, it has been in it!! Love this thing!! Most recent shop visit was for front brakes, replace engine thermostat, and the biggie new air suspension pump!! My daughter gets her license in 4 months and she is begging me to let her have this as her car. I want to keep this in the family another 30 years!!!!
