How do I remove the interior door lock button? I have a replacement for it... Started by removing the screw behind the handle then tried to use my trim tools to pop off the trim to no avail, and then I thought to myself... Before I break something, let me ask the forum. Any help would be great. Thank you in advance.

Why would you replace it? :hmmmm:

Replacing it with the memory seat button. When I traded my hse for a lux, I had them swap the interior trim.... They swapped everything but they also swapped that button. Was able to find cheap parts on eBay for the correct button and the correct size silver trim.

What parts did you swap out?

My 11' has wood panels everywhere except the previous owner must have put the piano black part above the nav screen and they also swapped out the cover for the ashtray as well. Been wanting to get them back to wood...

Pretty sure it's plug and play. I believe the memory settings save within the part itself (LR029817) and not the vehicle's computer. I say this because a week after I traded it in is when I noticed the button's were swapped. the dealership said they couldn't swap it back out because everything was finalized...the rig I traded in was on the lot and I went into it to check out the button and it worked with the memory settings. And to be clear, it was an HSE that did not come with that option when I purchased it new. You need these 2 parts in order to replace:

LR029817 & LR031891

I found both on ebay and paid 70 bucks (that is including shipping) from a totalled out LR4. I think it's about double if you buy them new.

Pretty sure it's plug and play.

I have to admit that for a second there I got excited by the idea of retrofitting my HSE with this feature. Then I realized that I'm the only one who drives it. My wife is intimidated by it and only on very rare special occasions do I toss either of my kids the keys.

Yeah, I'm good.:D
