At 76K I just did the following:
- Change fluid in transfer case
- Change fluid in differentials
- Change transmission fluid & filter using Atlantic British kit
- New ball joints, new sway bar bushings and lower control arm bushings

New Y-pipe is next on the list based on recent posts

by y-pipe, do you mean the coolant crossover pipe?

I was thinking about just ordering one to have handy, but I will likely not mess with anything unless I detect a leak. No sense in that IMO.

There's a lot of value in taking care of a known failure item on terms that are favorable to the owner, though. Pick a Saturday when it's convenient vs. a time when you've got to shift things around just to have a drivable car. Even worse, what if you first notice a leak 100 miles into a 2,000 mile trip to Colorado or something?

If mine hadn't been done by my dealer, I'd definitely be looking into doing it preemptively.

What's the big deal with the Y Pipe?

Read the "Land Rovers Suck" post. If the plastic Y pipe breaks and the coolant runs out and your LR4 overheats and warning lights come on and then you keep driving for 2.5 miles then you buy a new engine.

Mine went 2 weeks ago at 102000 miles, rented a car for a week. I instructed my wrench to change anything that’s plastic or rubber.
There is a rear crossover plastic pipe too. In my opinion change it too.
