    265 65 R18 Firestone Destination AT

I haven't posted on here for a while, I don't have problems with rubbing in access height. The tires I run are no longer made and I have been looking at the Destination ATs for a while. I would be running them but these tires were better priced. I bought five but have never been able to fit...

    All-Terrain Tires. Let's have a conversation.

LOL, I forgot about that. I went with the tribal side, just couldn't take the flame side. But, I do like the tread pattern too. Deep! Also, they will sponsor you if you apply and are a regular off-roader or racer. Free tires for following their requirements. I didn't, don't have the...

    All-Terrain Tires. Let's have a conversation.

Suprizing Perormance In the 285/60-18 size. these Fuzion tires have proven themselves to be very good performers both on road and off. Last Dec I went off-road through some muck mud (following weeks of rain) that stopped a bunch of other LRs in the club. These tires cleared the mud from the...

    Whistling sound

My whrrrring sound is between 55-60. Sounds like a wind blowing over the open end of a pipe or bottle. Can't find it either. BJ

under 28K, right front. Yep, 757 here....if we find enough of us 757ers, maybe we should try a meet? BJ

cooper tires and crappy gas milage

My biggest concern after up-sizing the tires was with this warning: - When changing tire sizes, we recommend staying within 3% of the diameter/height of the original tire. Any more than this and you face the risk of brake failure. I've got the V6 version LR3 and it has 2" smaller...

    replace tie rods

At just under 28K, my LR3 failed our annual state inspection for a "loose tie-rod". Two days at the dealer, they fixed it, did an alignment on the front, replaced my broken CD player, and did an oil change. All covered under the full warranty. I just couldn't be happier. BJ

    Problems With the LR3

My LR3 failed our annual state inspection due to a loose tie-rod end. So, it spent two days with the dealer. Covered under warranty. While there, the in-operative CD player was replaced and the vehicle was serviced. I'm getting spoiled with all this free (warranty) service. BJ

    Ever change a wheel hub?

As with most tire shops around here, they don't know these cars very well. I'd get a second, and third opinion.

    W T F is this?

Good to see that others have first-hand experience with Fitch products. Defiantly NOT Fish-oil! Uh, and for the smart-a$$ that thinks this is a joke,You don't know WTF you are talking about, until you put your hard earned cash on the line and test a product, you don't know $h!t! Fitch...

How often do you rotate tires?

If you rotate your tires with every oil change, and time that to your Service Interval light you can't go wrong.

    TPMS repair kit

I keep seeing a "Rare" TPMS maintenance kit that has those parts on eBay for cheap. Don't know the quality. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/RARE-TPMS-SERVICE-KIT-201-FITS-LAND-ROVER-LR3-08-09_W0QQitemZ370335108695QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item5639b14e57...

    Full Size Spare Tire

The full size spare with the HD option is the stock size of 30.0" and will fit that space. It's the over-sized (31.5" or 32") tires that don't fit unless flattened out first. Why can't we find an affordable Swing-Away tire carrier. I see them all them time for other vehicles (not to name...

If they will do it - Have them provide you the parts and either do-it-yourself or find a local brake shop (much cheaper).

Using Terrain Response to Improve Gas Mileage

Is this a sudden drop or has that been pretty much it the whole time you've had it? If it's sudden or been gradual, a new filter, a good cleaning of both the Throttle Body and the MAF will do wonders for performance & mileage. Time to do mine again. BJ

    Full Size Spare Tire

Oh crap! Since I have the 7 passenger model, If I had a flat and had to let the spare down, all that stuff would have to be unloaded in order to raise the third row seats to get at that crank bolt. A real PITA as I just learned over the weekend. I'd rather not put the full size under there...

    Full Size Spare Tire

The point is, that with tires that are 31.5" on all four corners, it's not a wise idea to put a 30.0" tire in place of any one of those for any length of time or mileage. That kinda stresses differentials pretty bad. I also had to replace my OEM tires at 24K (even with regular 6k tire...

    Full Size Spare Tire

I have that issue myself. I haven't tried airing down or removing that plastic shield yet, but I believe that someone on one of the forums has done it. I know I read it somewhere. I do carry an air compressor, almost at times. I bought one of the Green Slime branded compressors at PepBoys...
