Freelander 1.8 gearbox oil check
Hi Basic question - could anyone tell us where to check and fill gearbox oil level on a freelander petrol 1.8 - yr2000. presuming this is the problem as it is getting dangerous when we can't get 1st or 2nd after running about 20mls. (embarrassing in a queue of trffic when you can't set off!) -...- carolk

cant get freelander inspection
I Don't know what the Texas Inspection involves, but our 2000 FL failed its MOT by high emmissions, in fact the garage owner had to turn other MOT's away while he ran his analiser overnight to clear the sensors. It scraped thru on 2nd attempt but garage said don't bring it back! CK- carolk

Hi All Latest problem with our 2000 freelander 1.8 clicking noise from near front side when turning has now turned to more of a clonking, believed to be constant velocity joint. is there any advice on changing unit - or - we have been told rubber casing may have split and we could get away...- carolk
