What is leading you to believe it is the coils? Have you had the codes read and there were coil specific codes? I would start with the basic stuff first and work your way through. Did you remove the filter and clean the MAF? While it was off did you look at and clean the throttle body? All can... -

it wouldn't hurt to pull it and drop a standard one in. then clean the MAF. The MAF can get dirty all on its own so a good cleaning now and then is not a bad idea, because it can cause all the problems you said your having. -

Without any more information I would say you got some oil or something else slick on the disks or pads. Had that happen to me after someone replaced pads on my discovery 1 they had lubed the pistons in the calipers and in the process got it on the disks. it would stop ok-ish under normal... -

I may have misunderstood. Are you looking for pads? or the whole set up? If just pads I had EBC Performance pads on my last disco and they did very well. But if your rotors are worn then the new pads will only perform as well as the worn rotors will let them. -

Sounds kinda like a faulty thermostat. Has your truck been running hot? Even when the thermostat seamed to be working? Did you properly purge the cooling system of air when you replaced the thermostat? Just to rule our another problem you could remove the thermostat and see if it overheats... -
