Decreases your departure angle but I use the Curt one from Amazon, comes with bolt threading wire thingys that make it pretty easy to install. Been on 10 yrs now...

Drivers Side No Heat - Fixed

PLEASE DO! :) (beers on me!) I did the CLR flush last year and it only worked for a couple of months, now back to nothing... I'd rather pop in a new one if it's "not terrible".

    LED swap out

I bought these, cool but not obnoxious white, $19: XtremeVision Interior LED for Land Rover LR3 2004-2009 (18 Pieces) Tail Lights excluding backup, bright and crisp. And the coupe de gras, these super bright backup lights, what a difference!

    Snow Chains

A lot of negative feedback about using BMW X5 wheels($300 on San Jose CList) but I use them for my Blizzaks. They are getting dinged a little(8 winters) curbs, etc are difficult to see in the weather we like to ski in. OEM are still perfect.

Heater doesn't work om the driver side

I had the driver's side cold issue, a real problem in stormy Tahoe, the heated windshield couldn't keep defrosted by itself, cold toes too. Dean, the Independent LR tech in Rocklin, CA, popped my heater hoses and filled the core with Calcium Lime Rust Remover and let it set for 24hrs, all...

    Snow Chains

I carry chains from my old SAAB Aero, they "almost" fit and allow me to show the Caltrans guy I'm carrying. :) I run Blizzak DM-V2 Snow Tires and pulled an F250(with chains on front) uphill out of a snowbank in Tahoe last weekend. Having said that, would be interested in what affordable...

Just installed Cooper S/T Maxx tires on 18" BMW wheels

I have BMW X5 Wheels on my 2007 LR3 with 245/60R-18 BRIDGESTONE BLIZZAK DM-V2s. Plenty of fender clearance but I didn't go for an oversized tire. Been running them in the winter since 2010. $275 on the San Jose Craigslist. Strangely I don't have any good picts of the wheels in the snow...

    Front Lower Control Arm Replacement

My local independent LR Tech pressed out/in OEM bushings, ~$600 total, it rides like new and it's quiet again. He said, "no way," to poly. 2007 LR3 with 120k miles, glad it was him not me.

Hold my beer...LR4 gets stuck, goes viral

Yeah, well, I was turning around after launching our jetskis at Folsom Lake and slurp, right to the frame. Some sort of weird quicksand hole right where I'd launched 2 mins before.... everywhere was super firm around the quicksand. Pulled out by an LR3.

Conclusion: It wasn't designed for anyone on this list.

Drove the new Discovery and I'm totally confused now.

My neighbor has a JGC Overland, normally when we go skiing we take my LR3, once this season we took his Overland. He and I only ski storms, as you may know it was a big year in Tahoe, no way could the JGCO defrosters/heaters keep up with the snow that day, not even close. What ever you get...
