    Oil change general how to?

Has anyone come across general instructions for changing the oil on the new Discovery? I'm hoping it's as easy as the LR4 but haven't been able to find anything in a quick search. Is the platform the same as one of the other Rovers?

    OEM rear ladder sticker pads

Would anyone know where to get these or the pattern to make new ones out of existing material? I have an old ladder someone wants to purchase but I want them to be able to install it successfully.

Need advice from someone with offroad LR4 experience

I agree with Izzy and nWoods. I spent $ on wheels and tires as a plan but the best thing I did was get a couple of days "in saddle" at a course that included one on one time on not only driving in different situations but also recovery and general awareness. It made the next trips I took way...

    LR4 to Disco 5

Our buyback was documented by the dealer and was returned in CA for a rattle. The laws in CA and NJ make it pretty easy to return a vehicle for any reason. Our dealer here is known for purchasing these mainly from the west coast and offering deals. We had it checked out by our mechanic and he...

    Another Defender hint?

Here's a detail I haven't seen mentioned since someone noticed it on the prototype. I've seen the gas filler door located on both sides of 110 in some pictures but only on one side of the 90. Has anyone seen it as an option. Just a small detail I think would be a nice thing to have most of...

    Another Defender hint?

Kind of where I sit. "without it hitting the rear bumper?" or the pull handle to open the door. Hoping for the bigger tire capability. The front isn't near as bad as I imagined. Like everyone else, it's hard not to have Flex, FJ, Soul etc but I'm kind of convinced its due to scale or lack of...

    Another Defender hint?

I’ve seen older Defenders with the rear window blocked out. Is that the thought of the back solid section? Is it for inserts for accessories of some kind?

    Another Defender hint?

I’d be down with that but I’ll believe wheels and tires like that when I see ‘em. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Discovery 5 phone holder favorite?

Ok, now I feel like an idiot. I completely forgot she has CarPlay. I’m digging for a birthday present so the pressure got to me. :D Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Discovery 5 phone holder favorite?

Has anyone found one they like yet? I've come across several that attach to the AC vent but not much else. I'd rather not block the vents.

    LR4 to Disco 5

We now fit this description. Traded our trusty LR3 in for a barely used D5 that was taken on a buy back. Even with 185k on it we got close to 3k for it. It was a tough choice but it needed close to 7k worth of work that hit all at once. D5 only had 5600 miles on it. It definitely feels...

For those that offroad their LR4...a few questions before I pull the trigger

I didn't see anyone mention it but since you have 86k on the mileage, it would be worth finding out in the service records whether or not the water pump and/or the plastic crossover pipe have been replaced. If not, I'm a big believer now in preemptively replacing it. Mine went out at 79k right...

    Another Defender hint?

I wonder about the combo of the Alpine windows that Ryan mentioned and the hood/light combo. Those are always what personified them from a design standpoint. It's really hard to tell if there's a nod to those here. I kind of like the "2x4s" that seem to have been added in.

    Transmission Fault

We had basically the same issue with our 06 LR3. It progressively got worse and after debating over a year or so we finally decided to put a new transmission in. We've had it in a couple of years now and are glad we did it. We had 160k-ish miles on it.

    Compomotive PD 1881 finish delamination

Those look amazing. I've been using this to clean my wheels about every other time to get brake dust to cooperate. https://www.chemicalguys.com/diablo-wheel-gel/diablo-wheel-gel.html As I mentioned, I've scuffed mine a decent amount on the trails last year but the coat has held up so far.

    Compomotive PD 1881 finish delamination

Weird. Watching with curiosity. I emailed the Johnson Rods guy after scuffing mine on the trail to see what my options were but never heard back.

Exhaust Modifications (Muffler Replacement or Straight Pipes)

My 13 LR4 came with an X-Pipe and a Flowmaster. I don't really notice the difference in sound till I get in my wife's LR3. With music on it's just not noticeable to me and we drove it cross country last year. I do kind of like the sound when it starts up and the downshift crackles nice as...

Rear turn signal bulb repeatedly faults

The same bulb went out after posting this so instead of replacing it, I opened it up again and cleaned it out a bit. It seemed a bit damp but after a quick minor cleaning the same bulb has lasted for a couple of months now. I guess I'm a little surprised because it didn't seem that dirty but...

    GAP TOOL USES SURVEY

I've just started using mine. I feel like I've barely scratched the surface of what it can do. I did use it to clear some tpms codes recently and my favorite thing so far is raising the height a couple of inches and saving that for off road use. I was surprised at how much those two inches...
