6000 lbs isn't enough for an LR3....you want one rated at 9000 or more...though you "can" get by with one rated at 8000, but why risk it. Also, when purchasing a winch, invest in a good one. That Harbor Freight one above is a made in china cheap POS -

I personally would go with an '08 because I prefer the black plastic trim vs the color coded trim for two reasons: (1) on all exterior colors (except black), the black plastic adds a nice contrast to the exterior color, giving the LR3 a more rugged look. sounds like you need a new battery....I'd start there. LR3s need a very strong battery to start due to all its electronics. -

Thanks Seems to sit a bit too high off the roof line and that bulky silver just seems to contrast way too much off that darker color lr3. Maybe it would look nicer on a white of silver lr3 -

Nope there is just enough room to slide the headlight Fwd to get you hand back there to change. If you need to change the whole headlight assembly then you will need to remove the bumper. -

Yes you want the 285/60 18s. I have these and the pic below give you an idea of what they look like. You are correct in that you need to zip tie that wire up onto the frame on the drivers side.
