2012 LR4 here with 130k miles. Maintenance is expensive indeed. It's my daily driver, so there is always a lingering concern if or when it will die on me. I've been looking into springing for a replacement new LR vehicle, but the ordering process and market overall is a **** show right now. -

This thread reminds me of when the re-designed RRS came out in 2014. There was almost universal derision for the new model in this forum, particularly with it's base price of almost 70k. Today, every other LR vehicle I see on the streets is an RRS. The D5, however, is a totally different story. -

How many miles on your LR4?
86k. It's my daily driver. 100 mile daily round trip commute. I'm at the gas station every 2-3 days filling up. Oil changes every 6-7k miles (that's every 3 months or so). I must admit, it's getting tiring. -

Yeah, but a leaking windshield causing electrical damage on a MY19 D5? LR has been aware of this issue since the D5 came out on 2017. Mind you, I'm getting a Defender 110X to replace my LR4, but will wait until early next year to place an order. -

Umberto, how concerned are you with build issues in the upcoming Defender? There's a D5 forum (on a different LR site) where owners list multiple issues with their D5s, some as recent as MY19 models. The Defender and D5 are assembled in the same Slovakia plant. -

Two issues with my LR4
I've experienced similar issues, usually in subfreezing temps, either in the mornings when I leave for work, or at the end of the day after the vehicle has been sitting outside in the cold. When pressing the brake pedal as I turn on the engine, the pedal is stiff and I can only push a few inches... -
