how long should front rotors last?
That's such a huge variable and is so dependant on a number of factors to include personal driving style. My wife can't keep rotors longer than 15K-20k miles. I've never replaced mine in almost 75K. -

HELP.....2007 RANGE HSE SC error message
Are you driving with the suspension jacked up in off-road mode? I know it seems like a no brainer but if you try to lift it all the way up and drive. It only goes to about 30mph, before it tries to lower it for better aerodynamics. If it's in normal height, it tries to adjust it at about 40mph.- tmcgraw

Black LR3... scratch concerns at car wash
Keep in mind not all car wash's are created equal either. Some places offer some jet-spray washes that do pretty good. You did buy into a pretty awesome off-road vehicle though. Many people here would rather scratch and dent if it gets them to where they want to go :). -

1997 Discovery won't start if check engine light on dash isn't on position 2 of key
Is there a seal right along the edge of the fender? It should make contact with the hood. If the seal is worn out, or not there, water can go right down on the computer. I think there was a technical bulletin that came out for this issue years ago to, might be worth checking into. -

2011 LR4 - Oil Pan Drainplug Picture?
How many plugs (bolts) are you looking at? It's attached to a pan which probably has many more bolts in it. Take it out, if it pours out black liquid, you struck gold. If it's any other color, just put the bolt back on and never admit it, and try again on another bolt. :) -

Recommendation for first time buyer
Well I can tell you you're right on purchase dates of ownership but from a Dealer stand point we actually refer to the 2003-2005 as the BMW years, because that's when the engines were made by BMW and top ends are a bit of a problem on them. -
