I have the $200 Front Runner and it has been great. There was minor water ingress at the bottum rung so there was a slight rust run. I sealed up underneath with a clear silicone and haven't had issues since.
I would say the first two culprits at the cost of two cleaners would be cleaning your throttle body and MAF sensor. Very easy to DIY with detailed YouTube videos available.
Yes - they have a tin like cap on them. They will swell when corroded underneath and you will need a larger socket at some point. I have replaced most of them over time and should have just purchased gorilla nuts like some have on here in the beginning.
I picked my LR3 up with just under 50k miles. Not knowing what was previously used, I started my first oil change with the castrol 5w30 full synthetic. I thought for some reason that if a car has run synthetic, it's not ideal to go back to conventional. .. I could be way wrong!
A lot of us use the shorter Johnson rods to lift the LR but they do make longer rods to lower the vehicle as well.

Yep, I agree with tlt. Just pick up a can of throttle body cleaner and maybe a mass air flow sensor cleaner and start there. You'd be amazed how this has solved the very same issue for a lot of us.
I agree... I should have started off buying the black gorilla nuts from the beginning after almost replacing all my swollen nuts haha over time. Now I don't want to spend money for lug nuts.
I used satin black paint and think it's a good fit with the gloss black exterior. The first picture shows the wheels dirty after a month of dust and the second picture is pretty clean.
I vote satin black for you!
I sprayed all the plastic trim on my Lr3 with plasti dip. Overall, I'm still pretty pleased with the results and how it is holding up. I have one small tear from a branch on the front passenger wheel arch and some scratches that haven't torn but do not go away.
Most of what I go through is a...
Awesome Houm! I have a 15 month old and one on the way November. Can't wait to get out with them at an age to where they would have as much fun as me!
You have mud terrains?
I put the Akebono pads on rear... they have been great paired with EBC slotted and drilled rotors. Waiting on fronts to wear down a bit more and will replace with Akebonos.
All of your lighting does look great!
How was your experience in the De-Tango(ing?) process? Love the look and see the mod heavily on the other site. I'd be nervous through the baking part if that is how you did it.
Not sure of everything that you are looking for, but if you are able to find an axle assembly - Motorsport Tech makes adapters so that you can put on the LR3 wheels. Folks have had success here with their Bora spacers. I'm hoping to get their spacers at some point.

I remember a thread not too long ago someone's steering wheel controls were acting goofy. On my phone right now but a search may help to find the outcome of it. I'll try to search later.
More concerning is the battery drain every year... I believe my battery was installed 3+ years ago. Yes, I...
Looks great, nice and clean!
I was at the Jacksonville dealer yesterday picking up some coolant and there was not a single used or new LR4 to be found!
Can't answer your question fully but I have the LR3 with 5 seats and use the weather tech liner with the sides. It does its job - example - getting bags of mulch/topsoil/fertilizers from outside of the stores that are usually wet and will leak.
Interesting thought on fitting the LR4 dash...
I also can't believe that labor alone was $900 in 2008 and your dash was splitting within 3 years.. absurd!
I can see the dashmat collecting everything, sand gets evrrywhere and you never get it all fully out. Hopefully shaking it out will the job...
I couldn't stand to look at the cracks littering my dashboard anymore so decided to try out the ltd edition polyester dash mat. Purchased off Amazon for $40.
It fits well, but not quite sure how I feel about it yet. It came with strips to attach to your dash and then they velcro to the back of...
