Considering a used Disco
My DI is kinda on the small side with the wife and two kids. It works but if we have a lot of gear, the rear can fill up quickly. The DII is supposed to have more cargo room. Definately better than the fl. RR's are pretty expensive but have more cargo room. If it were me, I'd go with the... -

Spark Plug wires
I just did the magnecor blue wires on my DI. They were easy to install and the lenghts were fine. I ordered them from roverconnection and were $67. I used bosch platinum 4's for the plugs. A bit pricey for the combo but I did notice a difference in acceleration. -

just my freakin luck
I bought my '98 with 86k last summer. I did change all of the fluids, filters, plugs and wires etc. I will be replacing the O2 sensors soon, as well as the valley pan gasket, exhaust y pipe gaskets and have the radiator rodded for peace of mind. -

hood release cable/handle
I had same problems with mine. I just sprayed some wd in the locking mechanism behind the grill. I'm sure there's a better way to lube it but its been working for me. -

Congrats. Check all the fluids and see if you can't find any records on when the maintenance was done. Fluids are cheap and a good way to get to know your disco. I would change all of the fluid if you don't know the maintenance history. Also, check to make sure your center diff lock... -

I had a code once, but oddly enough, it was the fuel evaporative system setting it off. I still need to replace the charcoal cannister. I'll get to it someday. -

Disco Upgrades (Wife got upset)
Joey, what kind of mileage are you getting with the intake and exhaust? Mine went to shit after just the intake and I'm thinking of going back to the airbox but then its gonna be a pain to mount the resovoir somewhere else. -

They aren't ragged but I have seen drops of oil running down them. I won't be able to tell if the drops are from somewhere else just following the lines or the actual lines are leaking. I will look into it when I've got everything apart next week. Thanks. -

Oil and trans cooler lines?
I'm thinking about replacing both sets of cooler lines. Has anyone upgraded these lines like the power steering lines? Do you guys' think its even necessary to upgrade or should I stick with stock parts? -

sway bars, do i keep them or dump them
No problem Tom. The shocks I have do have external resovoirs, which required DII shock towers modified to allow the hose to go through the top. Any other questions just fire away. -
