I would say take a hammer and tap the backside of the rotor. Not too hard at first and rotate the rotor as you tap it. Stripe Still need model year though to really be able to help.. -

Crank Shaft Position Sensor installed - STARTS GOOD
I just did this last night and the the trick I used, after first removing the cover and then pulling the sensor our, to remove the connector from the bracket was to use a 1.5 foot angled pry bar and a screwdriver of the same length. The pry bar has a 1 inch length flat tip that is at an angle... -

2000 LR D2 Starting Issues
So, I replaced the CPS and so far so good. NO stall-outs and have been able to restart after driving. Did a 2, 5 then 10 mile drive about and no problems. Will post pics and description of work done in a new topic if one doesn't already exist. Stripe -

Flat towing 99 Land Rover
Flat Tow I flat tow a 2000 Land Rover DII behind my Motorhome. When I tow the Rover, I have the Transfer Case in Neutral and the Gear Selector Lever in Park. The Key does indeed need to be in the first position. I have had NO problems towing with this configuration. On a related note, if... -
