    Help!! Suspension fault

well if it lowers I' guessing it must be an air leak, the air valve is actually in the front right side, so it may be worth checking it

    does it lower overnight?

    Suspension fault after brake change

@houm no bloody way mate the struts were leaking, an IIDtool cannot seal the leaks, full stop. The compressor... well, who knows perhaps I'm unlucky but most likely it was fault of the rubbish Mexican mechanics who are proper scum. anyhow, knock on wood (bloody hug and eat wood at this point)...

    Suspension fault after brake change

it throws the fault of the pressure not venting, first thing they said was "faulty compressor" I told them to **** off, there's no way so many new compressors are faulting, this one has barely one hundred miles on it and was properly installed by them After arguing with the head mechanic, he...

    Suspension fault after brake change

front pads where changed, when picking it up I saw the yellow light on again. The suspension is ALL NEW, valves, compressor, struts, WTF? it was working properly yesterday!! WHAT A BLOODY JOKE! worst suspension ever, houm don't you even dare saying the system is reliable!! one cannot lift it off...

    LR3 Facelift to LR4

Mate it is utter rubbish come on hahaha I don't want to hijack this post so I'll just say that judging by the MASSIVE amount of posts on air suspension issues I think it is you who's having an unusually good experience hahahha

    LR3 Facelift to LR4

yaahhh you can only imagine my reaction when they mentioned the bloody air suspension :mad::mad::mad: hahahah @dthomp87 ahmm I cannot remember which one is it but should be somewhere here https:// web.archive[/url]. org/web/20150506004525/http://www.disco3. co...

    LR3 Facelift to LR4

hello dthomp87, ahmmm as far as I know, the wheel arches are the same without the texture so you can just paint them or leave them that way, there are actually some lr4s that use the old ones (point in case: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4LPZiq3HeV8) if you actually go off-road I recommend...

    Approaching 75k miles

yah, well he's got a rather reliable merc, and tbh I absolutely understand him, he had to pay quite a bit for a car that he doesn't even drive hahaha. Anyhow, so the diff and transfer oils haven't been changed because the manual says every 10 years or 75k miles, mi car turns ten this year and...

    Approaching 75k miles

Hello guys, so my LR3 is almost at 75k miles, I've spent thousands kn the suspension alone (2 compressors, valve blocks, air struts, etc. what a headache) so I am going to keep it for quite some time. However I am going to England for just over a year and I am trying to convince my father to...

    Air Compressor Failed

hahaha mate go on to the LR3 forum you can read my story of a brand new AMK failing, I'm on my 2nd AMK in less than 6 months (and still have a suspension fault but I am sure it is not the compressor), 4th compressor overall, the EAS system is a bloody joke for us who go off road often.

    Where's the leak?

Mate, the complexity of it is genuinely pointless and makes it prone to a MASSIVE amount of failures, compressor, valves, ecu, struts, air lines, connections, cables, oh my woow. Rugged ? perhaps but absolutely fragile if compared to a solid axle or normal independent coils... I'm going to...

    Where's the leak?

yes, probably... Those 500 usd seemed like far more than what the indy, or the dealer for that matter, would charge in mexican pesos to do the job. Had I been aware that they were SO incompetent I'd gotten the iidtool n the first place. In 6 months' time I'll be moving to England so I'm not...

    Where's the leak?

so I am chatting with the poster of that thread, never the less it looks like the issue is different. Anyhow, I discovered another random thing today: I finally got it (partially) into access mode but it only lowered the front of it, the rear remained at standard height... I pushed the lever up...

    Where's the leak?

That looks interesting, many thanks cmb6s I however have no idea of what ohms means let alone how to test for it. I will answer there and see what's new.

    Where's the leak?

Right, I've never heard of it either... They only had 60 amps at my local autozone anyhow so I bought that. Unfortunately you were right cmb6s, issue persists.

    Where's the leak?

Oh my woow so it is running with almost half the current hahahah Thanks, I will go to the autozone after work and get a 70 amp then. Thanks thorgal

    Where's the leak?

I remember it had a 60 amp before when the hitachi was fitted... I wil change it ASAP then. I was asking because I had no idea if changing to the AMK meant changing the FL10 as well...

    Where's the leak?

what? that's odd perhaps specs change depending on the country?? mine clearly says 60 amp or are you saying it should be switched for a 70 amp after the AMK change?
  21. B

    Where's the leak?

Found out that someone changed the fuseable link FL10 which is supposed to be a 60 amp for a 50 amp. Was this supposed to be done? I understand that only the relay was to be changed when "upgrading" to the AMK Should I get a 60 amp again or is the 50 amp the one supposed to be there? Thanks!!

Air Compressor and any high ticket item before warranty runs out?

I've replaced 3 air struts, one valve block, and the compressor twice. Also check the thermostat on the cooling system, it is prone to leak. If they tell you no replacement is needed try to replace all of this anyway as it will fail sooner or later

    Where's the leak?

Thank you Trynian! The car is quite driveable now and I've been extremely busy so I did not check the forum until today. Still faults eventually tho, so let me explain: If no fault comes on, my LR3 currently does this, as it should. It does exhaust with the door closed but if the fault...

    Where's the leak?

that valve is the one that was hanging loose instead of properly secured on its place, so it may be that when I was arranging it into place I "fixed" one of the cables but not all. I also suspect it has something to do with the software, so I will visit the dealer and ask them to reflash it...

    Where's the leak?

very little progress tbh, the fault persists I will take it to the stealership whenever I have time even tho I my hopes are low, mexican mechanics are mediocre and ignorant as you cannot imagine. It has got better tho, the compressor vents on a "random" basis, if there were no faults while...
