Frontrunner makes a fantastic roof rack - I believe the half rack is ~800. I've got the full rack - it's very well built and tons of accessories are available for it.

I have had 1 thing break - speed sensor (while on vacation of course) $30 part that I was able to diagnose (thanks IID tool!). I didn't have any tools and was on vacation, so it cost $200.
Oil change is well under $100.
I have not really serviced it yet. I read everywhere that it is very...
Not many pics to go on.
I love my 06 LR3 HSE! It has 90k miles and I bought it with 79k or so miles. I would still have an independent Rover mech inspect it.
What compressor did you go with?
Makes sense regarding the size/output capacity. Always strikes me as odd that so many people buy them even though there's one already in the vehicle. Must not be compatible, otherwise I'm not sure why it wouldn't be a more popular mod.
It appears the LR3 has a pretty beefy compressor and a small air tank. Have you heard of anyone modifying the compressor so that they could use it to fill their tires or use it for tools?
Terrible idea?
I fit a ko2 265/65/r18 under there. It had to be deflated and I had to remove the heat guard. It did not fit with the heat guard removed and the tire fully inflated.
I keep a bike pump in my rover now heh
Agreed! I was quite frustrated. They fixed all the things that came up within the first few weeks of ownership without any pushback, the biggest being that the vehicle would not shift in to sport or command shift, which apparently took like 6 hours of work to rewire.
Luckily nothing has broken...
I mean, I guess Yoda was correct - there is either do or do not.
I rolled the warranty purchase into the car loan- they threw an extra 1.4k into the price of the price of the car with the written stipulation that they would buy me a warranty with that money (and $600 for a roof rack if they...
Speaking of sleeping in, a sleeping mask changed my life! I wish someone had given one of these to me when I was 13. It's like having blackout curtains on your face! Unfortunately, they don't make a camo/manly patterned one.

My dealer recommended ASC. Local Atlanta guy. They require the purchase on all their vehicles now apparently. Long story short, I don't have one (but tried, and luckily haven't had any problems)
I've had my 06 for just over a year and have put 10k+ miles on it and am now at 87k. No major problems have happened since I've purchased it. No service items other than what it started with that was fixed by the dealer. Make sure you get the suspension checked. Mine already had parts recently...
I have a slightly broken unit you can buy for $50 - everything works on it but the height selector (rain damage). You could easily take off the knob...if you can figure out how to! I couldn't figure out how to completely disassemble the entire thing. You can still trick the unit into raising by...

What's this about changing the differential fluid? Any forum post you can link to with more info?
Oh sorry, the actual audio speaker! Can't believe that went out! I was talking about the sensor, but I would guess the same reasoning applies - the parts guys know a lot!
My parking aid on a 2006 looks /nothing/ like that, But I just bought a new sensor and replaced it and now it works completely fine. I would call a rover parts guy and ask him or call Land Rover dealer and see what they say.
