The former, the one on the steering wheel...
Conventional LR running board? I never liked the look of those from the first time I saw, and to me, it always looked too sophisticated for an LR3/4. And now when I see the new Discovery/LR5, it looks to me that LR decided to design the entire...
Thanks for the reply. There aren't many steep hills around here in NJ to actually use HDC, and my offroading has been usually limited to a few friends place on the beach or in and around VT (vs. rock crawling) with nothing that a low range can't handle on its own. In fact, I was thinking of...
Hi Everyone,
I recently took a road trip from NJ - Montreal - Ottawa - Montreal - Mt Washington, NH - NJ. While the plan was not to go to Mt Washington in NH but since I had heard a lot of scary stories driving ~7 miles up the highest peak in NE region, how scary the road is, numerous cars with...
I changed the compressor in my LR3 from the dealer sometime towards late last night. I observed this behavior since then but posting it now.
Since the change of compressor, I find my ride much less comfortable in the lower height setting (while driving at the lower speed, of course). I mean...
Here they mentioned about the velar product line between RRS and Evoque..

Best offer that I found after talking to a lot of dealers on exclusionary warranty -
4Y / 48K Platinum exclusionary warranty from Fidelity with $250 deductible - $9K.
By the way, Fidelity doesn't offer this if the mileage of the vehicle is 75k+. Mine is currently 74913.
Everyone, thnx for chipping in. On my next drive, I didnt get that smell though the drive wasnt too long. Will check whenever I goto dealer the next time though for now, it seems fine.
You are right.
I think everyone other than JR is questioning JR's attempt to spread information that is absolutely irrelevant to OP's question, which was specific for highways. I still dont get why is he/she posting off-road pics with every post! And then coming off by naming and judging...
Just wanted to keep this board updated. I inquired at couple of places for Fidelity Exclusionary Platinum warranty (basically the top end that covers almost everything w/ $100 deductible). Here are the numbers/ranges from different dealers (doesnt include taxes):
2 Y/24K : $7.8 - 8K
3Y/36K...
I recently drove from DC to NYC in Monday's snow. My LR3 rode like a king while I saw few suvs slipping every now and then. I used snow mode throughout and when I finally parked in garage on arriving, I thought I had the smell of something burning, like rubber. Opened the hood but everything...
thnx. i asked some questions around this warranty to LR dealer and will update on getting the reply. By the way, did continental go by the list of items that is mentioned in the brochure or includes everything other than whats in exclusion list? What items did you replace and did they reject...
Thanks for your note. Is it really that expensive comparatively? The previous owner who bought the Fidelity warranty - platinum with $100 deductible was 3 years/ 36k miles for $4800 and be bought it at around 45k miles. I'm actually surprised how I'm getting this even cheaper than the last...
