    2016 LR Discovery Sport SE

If you plan to let it sit for more than 4 days without driving it, have a trickle charger installed. There is a constant electrical draw that will drain the battery. I had chargers installed in both a 2010 LR2 as well as my 2016 Disco. Also, if you get a message that you need to drive it to...

    replacement tires

When my LR2 needed new tires, I went with BFGoodrich Advantage T/A Sport LT. Tire Rack has test results. Only drawback is they could have better wet weather traction. But, they did get me out of about 8" of mud when I started to slide off a dirt road.

Is it dangerous to drive with these warnings?

Sounds like whoever your mechanic is, has no idea about working on LRs. I've owned many different brands of cars, and learned the expensive way that it's better to take any car to either the dealer or a shop that specializes in the brand.

    Factory Warranty Questions

I have the same year/model, and just bought and extended warranty from Concord Auto Protect. They get good reviews, are responsive to questions, and have many options for number of years. They also have a discount if you are over (I think) 55. Plus, specials pop up frequently. I did ask my...

    Landrover 19” wheels rims

This might help: https://www.roadkillcustoms.com/wheel-bolt-pattern-cross-reference/makes/land-rover-wheel-size/ Keep in mind if you want an aggressive tread for off-roading, tire choices are rather slim.

    Pirelli Scorpion Zero

I just put BF Goodrich Advantage T/A Sport tires on my LR2. Very pleased with them--quieter than the Toyo's that were on before and the Michelin's that are on our Grand Cherokee. Haven't gone off road with them yet, but they have a decently aggressive tread. Good price, as well.

12 volt draw on battery when key is off no blown fuses.

I have the same problem with my 2010 LR2. Have had it checked by the dealer and AAA. Both said their is a constant draw. Takes about a week to kill the battery. Fortunately, the prior owner had a trickle charger put in, so just have to plug it in if I'm leaving it for more than 5 days.

    the LR4 19inch tire dilemma

After a lot of thought, dropped the idea of the Duratracs/Zeons/TerrrainContacts. I have an LR2, and everyone I talked to said they were too wide and could rub. Not wanting to spend $1k and have them not work out, went with BFGoodrich Advantage T/A, 245/55R19. Got them at Discount Tire--the...

    Lloyd mats?

I have Lloyd mats in both my LR2 and Jeep Grand Cherokee--like them both. Fit well, good coverage. Got them from AutoAnything.com. Good prices and looks like you can get 20% off by signing up for emails.

General thoughts on buying a 2011 LR4 with 100k miles?

I agree about the Terrain Contacts, and will likely go with them. My local dealer says they are “too much” for the vehicle, which makes no sense at all. I suspect it’s because they are 1” taller and will throw the speedometer off a bit. I asked TireRack, but they were non-committal.

General thoughts on buying a 2011 LR4 with 100k miles?

Can't add anything about the price, but I would suggest staying away from 19" tires. I have them on my 2010 LR2, and there are no good off-road tires that dealers say will work. I know I can use Zeons or Continental TerrainContact A/T, but no tire dealer agrees with much enthusiasm.

2006 LR3 HSE Satellite XM radio capabilities?

I had the same issue with my 2010 LR2. The radio screen showed the Sirius/XM logo, but when I called them, they said there was no record of it being activated, and no idea what the ID was. The local dealer said it did not come with sat radio, which I did not believe. So, I installed an after...

    the LR4 19inch tire dilemma

For those with 19" wheels, has your dealer's service dept told you that the Coopers or Goodyears available in 19" "too much for your vehicle"? I asked about both of those, and that was the response, and that it is too much for the drive train. I find that rather hard to believe, given the...

    LR4 Headlights Flicker?!?!

Interesting question. I have a 2010 LR2, and it does the same thing, but not regularly. At first, I thought it was my imagination, but then realizes it happens every so often. I only notice it when there is a car in front of me, and they dim slightly for not even a second. Just a flicker.

Heater doesn't work om the driver side

Mine does the same thing, but not long term. When it's blowing cold air, there's a repeating slight sound, sort of a metallic "woo-woo woo-woo". Eventually, it starts blowing warm air. This happens after I've used the AC. It would be nice to find a solution at a reasonable cost.
