    Brake pad sensor function

    I believe it triggers when worn through. If I remember correctly, the sensor is covered by some black rubber, which will quickly wear away when it comes into contact with the rotor. Many reuse sensors if they have not been triggered.

    Buy a rebuild kit for the calipers, pretty cheap, and spend an afternoon cleaning and rebuilding them. New pistons, pins and lube may help.

    Anyone try the ceramic brembo pads that rockauto offers?

    I have not used these, but ceramic pads in general to be squeaky at low speeds, tend to last longer, and tend to not put out as much dust. Just general observations, which can vary from brand to brand.

    Too many soccer moms driving them. I don't see this being a cool car in the future, other than for a major Land Rover lover.

    Could be the pins, could be the grease. Maybe order an after market caliper rebuild kit and update the pins. I rebuilt my calipers at 65k and the new slide pins are all metal and same size. No issues after 33k miles on them.

    98,500 on a 2012 HSE LUX. It has been in four accidents (drove away from all), and outside of that, has only had brakes and control arms (wear and tear items) replaced. It is built like a tank! Scott

    2011 lr4 hd radio problem

    I had to use my IID tool to log into the computer and tell it that I had an HD radio. After that, it always worked. You might have to have LR log in and change it. They might charge and arm and a leg just to do that though! Scott
