Coolant consumption
My 2019 LR5 will be 2 yrs old next month. It lives at altitude and sits in winter temps colder than -10 F and gets driven in Denver with temps at over 100 F. It has never needed a coolant addition.- LR4 in CO

Hd package / rear locker how to tell?
My 2019 LR5 has a 2-speed xfer case and the trailering pkg, but does NOT have the locking rear diff. It does have a locking center diff. I think the only way to tell if there's a locking rear diff is to put the Terrain Response into Rock/Crawl mode (or maybe Snow Mode) and look at the symbols...- LR4 in CO

Cargo Dimensions?
I switched to a Disco 5 this past fall. In my LR4 i was easily able to get a washer & dryer in. With the Disco 5, I had to spend about 25 minutes until i figured out how to put them in. Even then, they just barely fit. Strange, because the Disco 5 is about 6-7 inches longer overall. I think...- LR4 in CO

3 blissful weeks with my meticulously maintained ‘15 LR4 and then dread.
I had an extremely similar issue a while back in my Cayenne. The original owner had garaged it, but a mouse/mice still had been able to get in and had chewed some of the wiring. The dealer's service dept. was able to repair the damaged wiring instead of having to replace an entire harness. -
Tire pressure sensor probkem
Your LR4 is still under warranty. I would think about taking it to the dealer and leaving it there until it's fixed and showing pressure in all 4 tires. Someone there has the authority to give you a free loaner while yours is there, but you probably have to make an appointment and beg and/or... -
Rear locker comes on more often than I thought
What are the settings when you do this? -Hi or Lo Range -Terrain Response I've only tried it in Lo Range with Terrain Response set to Rock Crawl. -

Maybe because I live at 7900 feet & this engine is supercharged, or because the new tranny is an 8-speed, or that I don't tow anything, but I really haven't been able to tell any difference in power between the 2016 and the 2012 with its V8. I think the V8 was slightly smoother though. -

I had the same happen a couple times in a different SUV, a Cayenne Turbo. I'd be going along, when the engine would just shut off. I coasted to the side shut off the ignition, and re-started the engine with no problem. At first, the dealer's service dept. couldn't find any cause for this... -

Right now, I have summer tires on my LR4. I think the Hakkapaleta tires should only be used during the cold weather months. Don't have anywhere to store an extra set of tires during their 'off season,' so I may have to put on Nokian WR G3 tires so that I can run the same rubber all year... -

Winter Tires for CO I have a 2012 LR4 & live at 8000' here in CO. It came with summer tires, so in about 3 months I'll get Nokian WRG3. Even Consumer Reports really likes them. -
