    2005 LR3 Purchase

We have 2 LR3's SE's 2005's 4.4 V8's both have been very reliable. Main concerns rear diff bearings. Water leaks from Sunroofs or from warped cowl if leaks lots of error codes plus a non working key. Make sure EPB has been adjusted and working properly. I have never had to use the EPB to stop...

    Anyone running Falken Wildpeak AT3W?

They look real good! Keep us posted on how they are. I am also thinking about the GY Wrangler Adventurer with kevlar 255 65 18 51psi @ 2409 they are SL, but so are the Falken at3w 265 65 18's. I also don't want a tire that I will need to change the suspension on the LR3 or any rubbing. Another...

    LR3/Discovery 3 Fuel Grade Requirement

In the US we had both choices Jag 4.4 V8 (is Ford made) or the Ford Ranger 4.0 V6 both petrol. (V6 cheaper version base model LR3) From 2005-2007. I have the Jag 4.4 V8 it was a personal choice. Dave.

    LR3/Discovery 3 Fuel Grade Requirement

I read that when I got my LR3, but my experience with 87 made me decide to use 91-93. I can see how on the US LR3's with the Ford Ranger V6 engine 87 would work well. Dave

    LR3/Discovery 3 Fuel Grade Requirement

I tried 87 on mine once and it did not perform as well, loss of power and it also used more petrol and I heard engine pinging. Went back to 91-93 better mpg, and performance. Dave

    Anyone running Falken Wildpeak AT3W?

Hi Omada, Good to hear, thats awesome! How are they on road and on sharp turns? Also what psi do you have the rear tires for on road, since the highest rate they can handle is 45psi. The psi and the non XL side wall is the factor the 265 65 18's SL. The 265 60 18 is XL (side wall) and psi max...

    2006 LR3 aftermarket radio

nice system! I like the spot where the original GPS goes on the LR3 its easier to look at the road and look back at the gps that way. Do the steering radio buttons function with your new system?

    Anyone running Falken Wildpeak AT3W?

I think the 19" rim is just not a popular size. Is possible that they are discontinuing them in that size. 20" is the most popular size these days. I have Bridgestone Alenza 255 55 19 for street they are great tires in the rain and snow. Nitto has a 255 60 19 XL street tire that is supposed to...

    Anyone running Falken Wildpeak AT3W?

It's frustrating and challenging finding a tire that suits what one wants for the LR3/4. I really just wanted a 31" AT that was snow rated, but agree that the SL makes you wonder how will it handle on the corners. Also the Falken SL 265 65 and 44psi also makes you wonder. I called tirerack and...

    Anyone running Falken Wildpeak AT3W?

The Goodyear Adventurer AT with Kevlar in the 255 65 18 is 111T (2405lbs) 51psi max is an SL, but a larger tire with reinforced Kevlar side wall. Same as the GY Duratrac in the 255 55 19" it will be the Falken or the Adventurer for me, just need to see if the Adventurer is snow rated.

    "Ghost" leak

I never had a leak. I did it because I did not want to have a leak or a trans shift issue after 100K. These trans need a change of fluid at btw 65-75K. Even when you do a full trans service the most amount of trans fluid you get out its about 5 to 6 qts. There is still fluid in there and it gets...
