Lower control arm question
That isn't the news I wanted to hear. No fluid underneath and the rear lower bushings appear dry but I suppose the bushings could have leaked out before I bought the vehicle? Has anyone else had these bushings fail with only 40k miles of use? -

Is there a procedure or test to verify the condition of the lower control arm bushings? My LR4 only has 40k miles but if I tap the brakes hard and fast below 15mph I hear a sharp metal clank noise that doesn't really sound like brake pad noise. I can't replicate the noise over speed bumps or pot... -
Driver's Seat Bottom Cushion Movement
My 2010 does this and it drives me crazy!!!! Land Rover has a TSB for Range Rovers that involves misaligning the seat frame rails to add some preload; this procedure improved my driver's seat approx. 25% :( -
LR4 Transmission Fluid Change: Pan Swap Option
Thanks for updating the post with pics of the parts. I am curious to find out how the quality of the pan and filter compare to the OE parts. This is a painted steel pan vs the plastic OE, correct? Do the parts you received have the manufacturers name on it? -

Right side mirror doesn't dip or retract. Ideas?
Fixed! It was so simple that I feel silly for having asked the question. As suggested I put it in Reverse and adjusted the mirror angle down to where it should be in the dipped position. After that the auto-dip feature worked fine and the mirror housing retracts when the doors are locked. -

I bought my LR4 second hand and it has never dipped for me. You are right that the instrument cluster menu shows is feature. My left side (driver's) mirror does dip when reversing which makes me think there is something wrong with right side mirror. -
