Water tank under cargo area floor?

I swear I've seen one for sale by an Australian company - it was a welded steel insert that fits where the 3rd row seats would live. I've often wondered whether I could just do a soft-sided bladder in that spot . . .

really rough ride after installing new Toyo Open Country A/T 3 19"

I have genuinely been loving how these tires feel. My mileage has taken a hit - maybe 15% - but I don't regret it. After 2000 miles I'm also wondering whether I need a re-balance. They are a bit more firm going over bumps and city streets at stock pressure, I'm currently experimenting running...

    Lower control arm... ugh!

I used a two arm gear puller on these, harbor freight special. Made the ball joint MUCH more achievable for $27. My RH lbj was so tight that it broke the small puller...

    weird sound on engine

Maybe an alternator? Ours made a noticeably more aggressive whine before it bit the dust.

    Hood flutter

My 05 Flutters a bit on the freeway with cross breezes. Hasn't been pronounced, but did make me worry at first.

    TRIM ON A LR3

Silver - I feel like black on black could work. Let me know if you go this route? Would love to know approximate cost.

    TRIM ON A LR3

There's a guy with an LR4 here in the Portland area who rhinolined all the plastic trim and the front bull bar. Looks pretty decent to me. I have pretty well just decided to accept the faded look...

    Move on or Fix

The guys at Columbia Rovers here in Portland all still swear by LR3s (for sure over LR4s) and are getting closer to the 300k mark on some of their vehicles. If I were in your shoes it would be a tough call, one of the things I value with my LR3 is that I know what has been done and what feels...

I have an extra window trim kit DHB50400 . . . might have the fender clips too if I do some digging.

    Android Head unit?

I tried an android head unit in a Tacoma before we purchased our LR3. It's not a terrible option, and they may have improved, but I felt that the compromises outweighed the convenience. Android Auto is a much simpler and usable interface.

    ROOF RACK CROSS BARS

I went with the new Yakima aero bars on my factory roof rails and I've been very happy, they're quiet and easy to remove if you need to. I use Thule on my other car, but I think the Yakima system is easiest in the lr3. Nick

    Non-Bias Input

Price seems very fair from what I saw last year. There are a ton of LR3s all over the map, but few and far between with service records that deep. We bought a 2005 with the locking diff, similar miles for $7200 knowing I needed to drop $2-$3K into it. Kinda wishing I'd waited to buy yours - I...
