I like the RRS, but it wouldn't suit the activity level I'm hoping to get out of the SVX. Living in the pacific northwest I want something to be able to get up into the mountains, forests and the outdoors, I don't think an RRS SVR would fit that? I've heard different input on the release and delivery dates from both sides of the Atlantic (originally from UK). That seems to be Q1 calendar year delivery, build options and configuration available during December. But, that said, there's nothing official or written down to support that, so...- NixPacWest

Delivery likely March 2018, so I have a bit of a wait. I'll be curious to see which roof rack systems will actually fit with the light pod, so unless I end up with a full rack I certainly won't be bothering with the "ladder to nowhere" :)- NixPacWest
