Military Sales...Anyone familiar? (I want a New 2017 Disco BTW)

So I got out of my LR3 after 9 years and jumped into a Jeep Grand Cherokee. I love the Jeep but it's not a Land Rover. I really bought it in the end due to the diesel, which I absolutely love and will likely not buy another Gas SUV ever again. That being said I like the new Discovery 2017. I...

Got them from Ebay about 2 weeks before I sold the truck. Paid $25 for them. For some reason dealer I traded to did not want them, so I just held on to them.

LR3 Stuff for sale, mostly accessories

check the pics link in the OP. i bought the lugs because they were OE LR lugs but black. They eventually just oxidized and got some surface rust. I was going to blast them and paint them, but I got rid of the truck.

Had to say Goodbye...but it was a good run.

The #1 reason I went Chrysler was due to the Diesel. Power is amazing, zero complaints. Have yet to fuel since you are good for 500-700 miles per tank depending on conditions. No smell at all, not noticeable at least over a gas motor. More quiet than most gas cars on the road, and likely...

Had to say Goodbye...but it was a good run.

Well, first let me say if an acceptible form of a Defender ever hits NA shores, I'm all over it. I'm sure I'll be back in an LR sometime. I decided to go with an oil burning Jeep Grand Cherokee. Biggest loss is some interior space and it was a shock to have a plastic body again. So much...

Had to say Goodbye...but it was a good run.

Feel free to stop reading if, you might not get 5 minutes of your life back. Otherwise here is my babbling tribute to my LR3. No one else really cares so I thought I would share here. My LR3 took the long road to a new home this weekend. More likely the auction, but maybe a better...

    K & N Air Filter?

Some love them, some hate them. After probably selling hundreds of them at my old shop, we ultimately moved to GreenFilter as a "serviceable" filter. More filter coverage area and it seemed like the oil is better. We had a Ford Dealer right next to us who explicitly would tell us not to sell...

    Diy changing ignition coils

FWIW, I was in the auto parts business for many years and *if you were to go with aftermarket I would suggest Standard Motor or Beck Arnley. Can't say the quality to this specific part but in the past they always did my customers well. RockAuto has both options (as well as some others) and...

    EBC brake pads

FWIW, I run EBC on mostly everything, but have had great luck with Centric Rotors and Akebono pads on my LR3. Replaced my stock around 50K miles and now on 80K with very little dust and zero noise. Just another option but either way can't go wrong with EBC. I recommend replacing brake wear...

Million $$$ Question, what to do with my aging LR3

Good call. I'll check out a gently used model. Drove a 2015 and loved it. I'm a techie so I like that most all the unnecessary features that are now built in. To date, the Grand Cherokee Overland is best successor with about a $20-25K less price tag. The biggest bonus there is the diesel which...

Million $$$ Question, what to do with my aging LR3

yeah yeah, you guys pulled me from the ledge. ill start "the fund" and see where it goes. I like to keep vehicles as long as possible so the next purchase will likely be new(er) when I can afford it. Within the next 2 years is the goal. I have access to a lift and like to do as much as I can...

Million $$$ Question, what to do with my aging LR3

I can understand that logic. But I have to say my factory extended warranty paid for itself quite a few times over. Bushings, compressor, tailgate lock, and trans computer easily covered what I paid out. I just fear the catastrophic stuff. I have a small list of things on deck (plugs, hood...

Million $$$ Question, what to do with my aging LR3

Good evening gents, Coming up on 10 years for my LR3 and not sure what to do. As I would love an LR4, I can't spring the $70K for the (loaded) one I want. My LR3 does have it's issues but nothing major yet. Looking at other vehicles, but it's tough to find a suitable replacement. So far looked...

    Extended Warranties

Breathing life into an old topic. Close to pulling the trigger on an ESP, too many to pick from. Anything get a policy within the past 6 months? (Zeigler does not cover older than '07 at this point)

    Cracked Dash Options - Dashmat

I have to say I HATE my steering wheel. All the pores filled in with dirt/oil/mud/grease/etc and now it's glazed over and at times sticky when it's hot out. Like an idiot, i scrubbed it with various products and wore the "urethane" off which I did not even know existed. I've been looking for a...
