Hi all,
I've seen old threads with mixed reviews on whether or not the oil can be sucked out of the LR3's dipstick hole by a Mityvac or equivalent extraction system....has anyone successfully done this? By successful I mean all 8 quarts or close to it....Thanks in advance.

255/55R19.....anyone run these? If so, any feedback?
I want to slap these on my wife's 2006. This rig mostly sees street duty with camping trips (so dirt roads) and forest service roads to hiking trails. It will also be a workhorse in our once-or-twice a year snow storm up here in WA state...
Most of us have read about the condition in which a worn out shock no longer limits wheel travel and the UCA strikes it and can puncture the metal and airbag....
...anyone ever hear of this happening with stock sized tires?
My 2006 has way worn out shocks. We were on a beat up forest service...
My PDC speaker is sounding weak and shrill all of a sudden.
Is it on its way out or is there maybe a loose wire?? Other issue(s)?
Anyone experienced this?
Thanks in advance.

These are the older style MT/R and have ~85% tread still. They are up against their DOT "born on date" in October this year. Not an issue for someone wanting to put them on and run them until they give up. I swap them on/off with winter tires and shops won't bolt them on for me after October...
....to replace my aging (beloved) MT/Rs, in the 275/65R18 size.

Does anyone have any experience and opinions?
Thanks in advance.

Selling an airshock assembly off of a 2005 LR3. 222k miles, works fine. I replaced it because the other side front one is new. WA or OR only (don't want to ship), please. $200.
Set up your LR3 in Access Height. Maybe let it sit there for a bit. Turn off car go have a beer...but that step is optional
From there, rapidly push the EAS height control FWD to select Off-Road Height (from Access height) without allowing any pause at Normal.
What does your LR3 do? Does...
Anyone know where the sensors for gallery pressure are located?
I did some spraying of anti-corrosion spray under the Rover, all over...and there was plenty of overspray (aerosol can). I got a weird EAS fault afterward and it said "gallery pressure reducing slowly when exhausting."
I was...
Hi all,
Just completed a ~1000 mile trip in the LR3, a little bit of mild off-roading to get to a campsite but mostly mountain highway and a lot of climbing/descending over passes.
On the return trip, my NAV system continuously turned off momentarily and would take me back to the "Lawyer...
...anyone ever have their rear parking sensors "lose comm with ECU" before? If so, what is the root cause and how can it be fixed? The IIDTool could not clear the fault.
....could a hard reset fix it?
Guys,
I want to share my EAS saga with you to see if anyone has observed anything like this before and/or can make a theory as to what has happened.
Two years ago I replaced the air strut in the front passenger corner. It also appeared that the sensor was out-of-calibration. Replaced that...
Just got the new AMK compressor.
I drove the vehicle for the first time in a few days yesterday (had it parked in Access Height) and it thought it was in Extended Height.
???
I raised it up to Normal any everything was fine. No faults or anything, just seemed weird.
Anyone ever seen...
So, as my LR3 turned 10 years old, it was time for a new compressor. The new AMK is BIGGER and badder and better than the out-going Hitachi. In preparation for this, I had purchased the re-location bracket from Tactical 4x4. While that bracket was not made to work with my RS Sliders, it...
All,
Yesterday I got an amber suspension fault. Normal Height only. Everything else is normal but the compressor basically won't do anything. Fault can be cleared, compressor will function but eventually the fault will return.
IIDTool says it's a communication error between the EAS and the...
Anyone know if the ride height sensors have been revised in any way over the last 3 years? I replaced one yesterday (that had been installed by the dealership 2 years ago) and it was much thinner than the other spares I have and thinner than the old one that it had replaced (which I still have)...
My "clank" that has been around for years is getting louder. Only in 4-Lo and in a turn. Figure it's an axle or drive shaft.
Anyone had experience in replacing these components? Big job? Small job? $$$...?
Thanks,
ESB
Ok guys, need a little help.
When off-road and in a turn (but not necessarily while moving the wheel) under some load such as a slight uphill or other torque-needed scenario, I hear a "clank" sound seemingly from either of the wheel wells. I don't particularly feel it in the wheel. There is...
....should there be slots in the fuse box that are empty? Meaning the graphic shows that there is an active icon-slot there but there is in fact no fuse?
I believe, for example, my F6 is missing.
Anyone?
Thanks in advance.
I have a burned out light bulb above my rear license plate. I looked at the assembly and how to remove the lens, but didn't want to break it. Anyone do one of these yet?
There is a slot at one end, is it as simple as sticking a "suitable tool" in that slot and prying off the lens?
Thanks...
