    Ebony interior

Houm_WA, yes the seats. It's probably more likely in an area with a lot of sun/heat, but I've seen some horrible seats on CPO's at the local dealership, where the previous owner hadn't taken care of the leather at all. A bit of standard maintenance goes a long way. I'll check out Vinylex, I've...

    Ebony interior

my 06 has the ebony interior, and honestly it's held up great. You do have to take care of them, or they will start to show cracks etc. I have 103k miles on this truck currently, and the seats look great.

HDC Fault, Engine Fault, Special Programs Not Available, EPB Fault, and more HELP!

To echo the sentiments here, the battery is usually a big culprit of the dreaded dash of errors. While it's something we generally check first, it's not always the issue. The HDC system relies on the ABS sytem, and the initial checks on startup really pull on the battery, so I've seen HDC...

    LR4 reliability - let's get better info

I've registered for the site, but I don't take the results as "gospel" due to the ease with which they can be manipulated. It's rather easy to register a vehicle I don't own, and spew data about said vehicle. While I understand that people may be honest, and actually portray their data in a...

    My New (OLD) LR3

I doubt this, although it may be an issue in some cases. My 06 with 67k has only been dealer serviced, and the only major component issues were the sunroof rails and an issue with the MAF sensor (multiple times so far.) I haven't had any issues with hatches, etc up to this point.

    Bluetooth problem

I don't really have any issues with the Bluetooth in my 06 with an iPhone 3G. You will get some nasty echo if you have the phone volume up too loud though.

    Trailer Hitch Lock Help

Ironically, I didn't have the keys for my hitch lock either, so I actually tried the key from a new hitch lock and it worked. The dealer said it shouldn't work, but in my case, for some reason, the new key fit just fine. Perhaps find someone who has a key and see if it works for you?

    Dashboard replacement claim at stealership

if the leather is splitting, or cracking on the dash, and you're under factory warranty not CPO, it shouldn't be an issue to replace it. IF you're under CPO, it's a whole different story.

Twice offroad once in the shop

I've never had a dealer give me grief for a dirty truck. That's what LR's are made for, and the dealer shouldn't give you any issues with mud, or such on the truck, or underneath it. You should however, clean your rig ;-)

    Nothin but problems

Yup sounds like you have a shady dealer. I have an 06 V8 52k miles on it, pretty much problem free, minus a few little issues here and there. I bought mine CPO'd as well.

2009 LR3 HSE does not include 14 speaker logic 7 stereo

Every 09 LR3 in the US is an HSE vehicle, but if you want added features, you have to toss on the LUX package now. Definitely changes things up a bit, and can be confusing. I didn't see a better stereo as a LUX feature when I looked though.

It is a damm shame !!!!

Regardless of the VIN range, they should apply the correction regardless, if you're experiencing the exact same issue. LR warranty should cover it regardless. You can always open up a case with LRNA regarding the issue, and they will contact the dealer directly for you to help get the issue...

    suspension fault advise please

Sometimes a bad battery may cause suspension or HDC, or numerous other faults as well. Have the dealer test the battery if they can't figure it out.

Was that a CPO price, or non CPO price? if that was CPO, that's definitely cheaper than around here.

No lights on steering wheel and cracked sunroof plastic

Not sure exactly what the tolerance specs are, but the arms on several of my previous vehicles also had hairline cracks in them as well, so it's not just a LR issue. Agree, it's frustrating, and usually the dealer will look at them, and let you know if they should be replaced. I haven't had...

No lights on steering wheel and cracked sunroof plastic

There is a tolerance for cracks on the rail design, without breaching any structural integrity. If you're noticing large cracks, best to get them replaced, but small hairline cracks may not be an issue, unless you're noticing quite a few of them.

    New Lr4!!!!!!!!

To answer the question about the air intake from what I was told from a friend at LR, the new engine requires two intakes, so hence the reason for the intakes. The d4 has a new transmission, engine, brakes, front steering system, suspension upgrades, and a more toys on it than a D3...

Steering Knock or Free Play sensation on 08 model D3

There is a boot in the steering column that sometimes needs to be adjusted or replaced, and can cause the sensation you're referring to. It can also be attributed to dampers sometime, although on a newer model, I wouldn't expect that to be an issue. Have you taken the Dealer Tech with you on...

    Front Control Arm Catastrophic Failure

Agreed, it's not what I think caused the issue, but wash that undercarriage! Hehe. He says, he believes the front left control arm snapped, causing him to lose control at 65mph roughly, was all over the place and ended up bouncing off a guard rail. I'm curious also as to why the right rear...
