2005discovery hdc system fault

bought a discovery second hand,was going,fine until hdc system fault showed up on the display,and suspension lowered.can reset it by turning off and restarting.but about ten minutes down the road,same bloody thing.fairly mechanical minded so no worries on the tools,seen a lot of this issue on forums and would appreciate any input on narrowing down the problem.can anyone tell me how they sorted their problem,be it garage or themselves,what did they physicly do to solve it,kind regards jim

Welcome to the forum... if the suspension is lowering you probably have a bad air bag. Replace it before you burn the air pump up. Easy test is to get a spray bottle of soapy water and spray the air system and all the bags till you find the leak and you will know where the issue is.
