My 98 Rover is overheating, have checked out radiator and water pump they are fine. when the heater is on it doesn't overheat. Any suggestions?

How did you check the radiator and water pump?

How about the thermostat?

Either you fan clutch is bad or the electric fans are not working.

i flushed radiator with high pressure water, i took waterpump off and inspected the fins, all seemed good,

i took thermostat out, i also put it water on stove it opened at about 190

I'd be willing to bet its the fan clutch..try to spin it by hand if it spins it's bad
