Just had AEB warning on 2 day old Range Rover Sport (purchased 29 April 2017, 2 days old, about 100 miles covered). AEB is the self operating braking system designed to react faster than the driver for emergencies.
Warning said that the AEB was not available.
Driving conditions: daytime driving in heavy rain slowly parking up in front of a plate glass window at Walgreens. Headlights were on.
Warning disappeared on restart. Anyone with any knowledge of this function? Technical fault or conditions beyond the system limits?
I will report to dealer when I collect the license plates in about 10 days.

If I were to guess I would say it was a conditional issue. Kind of like putting an optical mouse on a glass table, it doesn't work. Throw in rain and you have a visibility issue that almost no engineer would be able to get around.
