The Project Viper Land Rover Defender from East Coast Defender is basically a $285,000 pickup Land Rover 130 that gets an engine a Chevrolet-Performance sourced 6.3-litre V8. Due to this, the not-so-humble pickup now puts down a colossal 430 horsepower via a six-speed transmission. But that isn’t all.

The East Coast Defender Land Rover gets proper off-road underpinnings in the form of KAM heavy duty axles, electronic locking differentials front and back, heavy duty steering arms, King Off-Road Racing shocks, steering damper and set of Old Man Emu coil springs that are responsible for a 2-inch lift. Project Viper has also been give 20-inch East Coast Defender Edition wheels that are wrapped around Nitto Mud Grappler tyres that ensure that everything from light off-roading to proper rock crawling can be done with relative ease. Although with so much power it should be more of a case of rock crushing.
