hi, it just came my notice that the diesel engine (2.2) in the freelander2 looks superior to the one in the defender (2.4) in virtually every aspect (power, torque, economy), at least on paper. does anyone know why the defender is not using the 2.2 instead? i've also posted on the defender forum.
