Folks,

I just recently bought a 00 Discovery II with 60K miles on it. I wanted to check, flush, and fill my rear and front differential fluid next weekend and the manual says 75/90r sythetic fluid should be used. Anyone uses regular differential fluid by anychance or should I go buy and use what the manual says?

Also while I am at it should go ahead and check the transfer case fluid too?

Let me know what everyone is using. If the regular differential/gear oil is good enough I'll go with that. But if sythetic should be used I'll use it.

Give me feedback please. Thanks.

I wouldn't use anything but synthetic... it just does the job better, lasts longer and will save a little on fuel economy.

Got the mobil synthetic in my hands now. I will do the flush and fill this weekend. Thanks.
