Hi Members
I live in New Zealand and use a 2000 Disco 2 to go off road to a hut (cabin) in the bush area near where I live, but the Disco is misbehaving at the moment.
Hard Starting, sometimes when hot and sometimes when cold. couple up a OBDII scanner to the vehicle and problem solved. Starts and runs no problem. Will start when cold usually after a couple of goes, turn it off and no way will it start unless you disconnect the battery or connect the scanner. Leave it for about an hour and "bingo" it will start again. How about that. They are a great vehicle off road, comfortable and go anywhere (when they go) but they are an electronic nightmare.
Any body else had this problem?
Cheers

Welcome to the forum. Couple of things to check; battery, have it tested; starter have it tested if possible; check the fuse block under the hood for corrosion.
