Driver door will not unlock

I have a 2000 Disco 2 and the driver's door will not unlock with the key or fob, but all other doors will unlock with the fob. My wife was trying to unlock the driver's door with the key and said that it felt stuck and then just gave way and now nothing. Any ideas?

Sounds like the rods inside the door have disconnected. PITA to get to, but it is a DIY job if it is warm enough.
