I was hoping to install two red top batteries, like Mike Jacobs from the picture gallery. Will that work on a disco 1? Has anyone tried?

Thanks

Dual Red Tops

Adam,
I wish I could say it would be that easy to install duals in a D1 like I did on my D2 but I think you are going to have to put one on the drivers side of the radiator and run 2 cables across. This shouldn't be hard to do and it will help you balance out the weight of 2 batteries.
Good luck,
Mike J.

Yeah, as I recall you have to remove the bottle jack, cut the airhorn and at least shorten, if not remove it, and do as Mike said -- put the additional battery on the driver's side of the radiator.

It's really not that hard, I imagine.
