Well my 06 L322 began to overheat while at a drive thru. Needle never reached the red area but almost did. Shut it off and waited for it to cool before I drove it home. Fixed overheating problem. Noticed it started making a knocking noise. Went away for several days and came back. It is not noticeable at times and other times it is loud. No issues with performance, no hesitating while idling, No check engine light. Any ideas? Sounds like nose is coming from throttle body area or top of motor under plastic cover.
