I would never be able to get my car stereo to sound like my home stereo, so I don't even try. It would be a bottomless money pit of a wild goose chase.

Indeed, but there is a lot to be desired in the standard LR stereo considering the price of the truck. I have had $20k econo shitbox rental cars with 10x better sound. But yea, I know modern electronics is LR's Achilles heel.

The Logic 7 system in my '13 isn't all that great either, so don't feel like you're missing out on too much. Just rev up that V8!

@backcountryLR4 ebay. OEM LR brand $348 shipped.

@Surfrider77 a few shops I found know how to tie into the fiber wire issue. Just make sure one you find knows how before digging into the mess. And it's called the JL Audio stealthbox. I picked it up for around $499. A tad on the expensive side for a 10" sub, but worth the cost due to the simplicity IMO

*edit* never mind. Noticed it was on drivers side as well. Must be the Brits way of insulation and sound deadening

Plasti dipping side vent grill. Upon removing passenger side vent I noticed odd insulation type packing just under the intake inlet/hose. Is this normal?.. truck has a clear carfax. Sort of worried this is hiding something or someone has done a lazy job at fixing a drain issue. It's a plastic wrapping with foam or something inside. Anyone who has dipped their vents have it?

Ordered a Cobra75 CB today with a 4' Firstik antenna. Running the coax to the rear under the panels/carpet, and mounting the antenna, grounded, to the tailgate next to the tail light. Not sure who owns this rig, but a similar setup. I plan on using it primarily for group meets and trail use. Anyone else done a similar setup? Rendering up ideas for the mic placement/mount. I would like the radio itself to be tucked away. My JL amp the subwoofer is mounted under driver seat so it won't fit there. Next best guess is possibly behind the center console.

What in the holy hell are you trying to light up!?!?!
I feel way under luminated, with just two front (Mounted to the ProSpeed bracket)37W LEDs, and two rear 18W LED's

Unless you want to run your engine to keep the power flowing... why would you want high wattage lights, especially in the back.

I prefer my 18w lights in the rear because I can run them on the aux battery for a long time without draining things too much. Its plenty bright to work or setup camp. Lights up a huge area.

Lighting is just another way for people to show off I guess. :) The light I use the most is a cheap little Protac 1AAA that is the size of a finger and uses a single AAA battery! Plenty bright for most tasks.
