So I got my truck back two days ago.
The list is long. Besides a blown compressor the main problem was the engine. They kept the truck for a whole month... blaming it on having 5 other vehicles with engine problem and only one master tech allowed to work on these engines. Everything was covered by the warranty fortunately. The total came out to $6,500.
Here is quick list of what they had to change:
Sprockets
Timing chain guides
Timing chain tensioners
Injectors kit (not actual injectors just small parts)
Many seals, gaskets and little things like that
Obviously that implied an oil and filter change as well as cooling fluid
And keep in mind that this is only for one side of the engine!
They also changed the front brakes (rotors and pads) under warranty. It's only the 3rd or 4th time in a year. SA told me that next time they would investigate the problem...
Drove home (2 hours), engine seems to work well. Arrived home, actually stopped to get groceries, ... suspension fault.
On the plus side, I got to to spend a month with the Jaguar F-Pace. What a fun machine. Great engine, great handling... I might have to consider switching over as I don't really go off-road up here in Central New York.
