Does anyone have or know where to find brochures, manuals, etc. for the Discovery Series II online? Looking to get some additional information and interior pics to help decide on whether or not I should take over a lease on:

2002 Discovery II SE
15k Miles
18 months remaining on lease
$300/month

Thanks in advance!

You can type in "manuals" in the resource section of this page. There is some stuff on D2's in there.

Let's see:

- $300 per month x 18 months = $5400.

- Blue book retail on a used '02 DII with 15K miles = $28000 (approx.)
- Blue book trade-in value = $23000

- Payment on buying that same approximate DII over 3 years* = $831 - $1000 / month.

* assuming 4%-6% interest, $0 down, $0 trade in value.

I say go for it, based on the numbers here. Someone out there might be enough of an accountant to refute my numbers or analysis here, but it seems like a good investment, since you'll be looking at a trade-in of about $15K - $18K on trade in 18 months from now. Not a bad deal for $5400...plus, you get to try out a Disco for a year and a half, and you can get a nice used one for $15K or so in 18 months that'll be fully yours!

workshop manuals

I found walmart.com has cheapest price for most new factory workshop manuals. Find ISBN from Land Rover and buy at walmart. Req 150 bucks, I got it for 91.77

ebay manuals

Stay away from ebay sign-on name "deansbdean" selling Mitchell one repair manuals. I bought one, it didn't work. I got ripped off. The Land Rover manual costs more, but is far better than any of the other manuals i've owned for any car I've owned.
