restricted performance warning with a engine light

Yesterday I was running some errands and all of the sudden my rover started to lose power and speed and a light with a triangle and an exclamation sign in the middle came on and then restricted performance light came on and the engine light, anybody has had this problem and what was it

I had the same issue with my 2012 SC, and my culprit turned out to be the high pressure fuel pump. Dealer replaced it about a year and a half ago, has never gone back into that mode.
