The reason I bought Prospeed roof rack is that I know, I will be getting an LR4 soon i the very short future, and that the shape and attachment is identical to an LR4 and LR3.It is easily transferable , so I see it as an investment , rather than a trendy toy.I know , it will serve me well as I have already used it and have many attachments for securing things on it. i will be relying on it very soon , as I am planning an excursion to a James Bay and Trans Taiga road this February.

I'm about to order the RTT adapter and awning brackets too.

I have a XRS bars for all kinds of items , such as Thule, Yakima products and RTT, also have 3 sets of composite floor ,ladder and kayak carrying set with a roller , awning brackets and bunch of SS eye loops.

I did the same with 3 floor boards. My son loves to just setup there with me watching cars drive by in our driveway! Plus they keep the sun out of the back 2/3's of the vehicle which means a lot in the Arizona sun during the summer where it can reach 110F!

I bought and installed OEM long rails and bought the OEM bars. The OEM roof rails kind of enhance the normally odd looking roof of the LR4 and the installation only took an hour. I take the bars off then its not ski season.

I seem to have a low garage entry so I tried a few roof boxes (Thule and Yakima), before finding Inno. The Low Down Cruiser. I have to say, it costs a little more, but I have had it for two winters and I love it. http://usa.innoracks.com/product/lowdown-cruiser-2/

Hence the name, its low and wide. It fits our three sets of skis with a lot of left over room. It's easy to put on and take off, don't need assistance. I only put the box on when we're heading out skiing, only takes about 10 minutes for me to put it on/take it off.

I carry a folding step ladder to get the skis out when we arrive at the valet at the slopes.

FR Half Rack

Took about 3 hours from open box to take my son to hockey. I only forgot the wind deflector. DO NOT FORGET THIS!

I chose the frontrunner because of the non-steel construction and me living in the salt belt. And the fact that my son thinks its the coolest thing to be dropped at school with an axe on the roof. I guess my daughters suitors are scared because I carry the axe and shovel!!!!
