My suggestion is, don't run Gold Mountain... Used to be one of my favorite, but not in these conditions. It's pretty crumbled / broken up and tough to get through, especially if you are on your own. It took us (14 vehicles) the whole day to finish it, lots of winching and rock stacking required to avoid vehicle damage. It is still a very scenic trail of course, but it's a lot of work compared to the way I remember it from years past, when it was just a fun, challenging but manageable trail. There are more enjoyable trails up there right now.
