Washington DC area.. any freelance mechanics?

i have an '09 range rover sport hse, it just got to 100k miles... i'm looking for someone in my area that has the knowledge and experience with rovers that will extend beyond the basics. The reason i come to this site is because its a community of people that have knowledge of things, and are able to look past the surface. Going from shop to shop I just havent found that. For instance if something is not working properly, I want someone to give me all of my options. Dont just say, this needs to be replaced, and slide me the hefty bill, when you know that i could probably pay a lesser price to get this or that patched up or tweaked. Not saying that i never expect to pay a hefty price, because rovers are high maintenance. Its so frustrating. need an alternative to the money hungry shops... any ideas?

Gaithersburg , very honest straight shooter
will give you all your options and then some ..
Been my Indy since ‘12 when dealer was recommending a second trans replacement
for the same fault over heating ..haha,
