I have an odd problem - please help!!! 2012 Range Rover Sport SC with 53K miles. It is pristine and I want to keep it for a while, BUT it is making horrible creaking and squeaking noises but only sometimes.

Usually the noises don't start until I have been driving around town for a few hours, but once they start they are constant until I park and drive the next day. Next day, quiet for a while, until all of a sudden squeaky and creaky noises coming from under car once again. The noises are most noticeable at low speeds while turning on bumps (i.e speed bumps, turning into driveways). Sounds like a squeeky bed or creaky wood door, but oddly sometimes the ride is totally quiet until its not and then its constant. Any torque on the chassis (like bumpy turns or braking hard and car "bouncing back to level") makes the noise.

If I were to take a guess I would say the bushings in the suspension are starting to go bad.

Thanks Joey! Its very odd how there is initially totally normal quiet functioning and then boom constant squeaking/creaking with any torque on chassis. i would have thought bad bushings would make noise all the time.

Its kind of like my knees, if I am sitting too long standing hurts... or if I walk too much they hurt. Do things a little and all is well and happy.

I have the exact same issue on my 08 RRSSC, all is good for a while then when she gets hot it's exactly like a an old bed. I have the sway bar bushings on order, let's see if that fixes it.

Was it from the rear or front? And did replacing the sway bar bushings remove the sound?

On inspection, my front bushings looked fine so I just greased them heavily and put them back on the front sway bar. Seems to have helped greatly.
