Since my recall work was done, I have a consistent problem with the tank overflowing when I fill up. I put the pump lever-handle on the lowest automatic setting, and before it automatically shuts itself off, a bit of gasoline overflows from the fuel intake opening. Never used to happen before...
I received a notice from Land Rover that the part is now available, and I took mine in to the local (El Paso) dealer, where they completed the work. Now I'm having a problem every time I fill the tank, it overflows. Anyone see a connection here?
My local guy replaced enough parts that the drip which was causing the odor has been resolved. Unfortunately, now my filler tube overflows every single time I fill 'er up. So, I'm going to replace the filler tube, I guess.
I'm about $600 worth of work into trying to resolve this issue on my 2011 LR4 HSE. Replaced a couple of emissions control parts. Could not find a charcoal canister online for sale, so have not tried that. Purge valve and leak detection valve have been replaced. I'll get it back from my local guy...
I ordered it from Atlantic British for $99. Maybe not the lowest price, but I do trust them. Will take my LR4 to my Indy when part arrives. Very useful thread, here.
Glad I found this thread. I'm about to go down this road. 2011 LR4. Very gassy right now. My regular indy replaced the fuel pump gasket, but that did not fix it. Taking her to dealer in January. Ugh.
