I have a ‘16 TD6 and it has been amazing . Avg 26 mpg, tows effortlessly and is as comfortable as the day is long. Zero issues so far and I have 52 k on the clock
has anyone just looked up the spec of the new defender steel wheel? It is an 18" which will clear the calipers and it should be 5x120 so all we really need to find out is: what is the offset? anything 42-45 would be fine on the lr4.
All, I installed the tow package for my 2016 RR (L405) Tdi6. it took me 2hrs in the driveway when the dealer wanted $750-1k to do it. They now claim it needs to be reflashed. Is this true? there is no mode for towing that i can find so why would it need to be reflashed?
Is the only option for a reciever hitch on the '16 L405 thru Land Rover? when i search Google all i find are for the sport model which i believe is smaller in the back frame width..
It seem that based upon a different thread that the Alt is running systems rather than charging batteries and that the batteries never get more than about 80% charged
ditto. your tire guy doesn't know anything about suspension or physics. added unsprung weight will affect rotating mass and thus BRAKING, and could affect handling... in racing. it wont wear out your bags. .
I just went thru this on Monday, with a dead battery at the coast. No warning ever. there was no unpainted ground to use so i used the negative terminal on the battery. No issues to report whatsoever.
Thanks Umbertob. I live in TX so heat is probably the culprit. It is under warranty but i couldn't wait for the service dept. replaced with fresh AGM battery. its time for service so i will take your advice and have them check the alt.
