Help, please. Although I am proud to say I extracted my LR3 without assistance, my unintented deep water excursion this morning caused 3+ inches of standing water (mostly passenger side) and resulted in wet, muddy carpet. Do I need to remove seats to pull the carpets or is there a method to remove the various covers & trim?

Any other advice on how best to de-water my vehicle would be most appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum. I would remove as much as you can, and unless I am mistaken you have some expensive electronic parts under the passenger seat that you may want to try and dry out as well.

Flooding Update

I elected to extract (and scrap) the entire carpet.:hmpf: The padding underneath is too sponge-like to ever dry if left in. The mud is pretty much just sand now. The HK amp under the passenger's seat is not happy (strangely, neither is my wife).

Any suggestions on where I might source fitted replacement carpet? Thx.
