Hey Everyone,

I finally got my new accessories installed. Here are a few photos of my new Voyager half-rack (with wind-fairing), Voyager standard ladder, and tail lamp guards. You can also see the front skid plate. Next week I will be installing the head lamp guards. Pictures to follow.... Enjoy!

Thanks, Pickasaurus!

I forgot to update about the wind noise. As you can see I had Voyager install the wind fairing because I was nervous about wind noise. Yesterday I was on the highway going up to 85mph and I heard very little (if any) noise. I was very impressed and happy that the wind noise will not be an issue!

So far so good! :)

horacioad,

They would look awesome on your Alaska white LR4! ;-) Seriously, they do look great. I am expecting to install the head lamp guards next week and will post pictures. I think it's going to really complete the look.

Thanks, David

Finlay,

Your rack seems to sit about an inch above the short rails. Did you ask Andy to do this? I talked to him a couple of weeks ago about making a "low profile" half rack, basically shortening the side rails, but the pics on his site show the rack sitting right down on the short rails. I have a low garage opening, so if he is making them like that now, it could be a problem...

Hey PALR4,

I did not request any specific changes to the half-rack - only that a wind fairing be installed. I would definitely talk to Andy about your needs, as they are very willing to create custom racks and work with you to do the lower profile options. I know I have heard of folks doing that with a standard voyager rack. I found you need to call him and be very specific with your needs. Best of luck!

Hi David,

Everything looks great! I like the "short" ladder. Maybe one very **** retentive suggestion. Looking at the painted area of the hatch right above the bottom rung of the ladder, I'd be worried that over time it might become scratched by the toe of a dirty or muddy boot. If I were you I'd be looking into putting a piece of clear paint-protection film over the paint there.
